The thickener system in JET-GOLD EP provides protective benefits similar to molybdenum disulfide, safeguarding equipment from wear under extreme load and slow speed conditions. JET-GOLD EP is effective in neutralizing acids and resisting reactions with caustic materials. It also prevents corrosion when exposed to phosphoric acid fumes.
JET-GOLD EP can safely operate at a continuous temperature of 400°F (204°C) and withstands temperatures up to 550°F (288°C) provided the bearing is replenished every 30 minutes with normal quantities of grease. It can even endure occasional temperature spikes up to 600°F (315°C) for 5 to 10-minute periods without melting or carbonizing.
